First use : The first time you light your new candle, be sure to let it burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the container, which takes about 3 to 4 hours. This ensures that the wax will burn evenly in subsequent uses.
Burning time : Never leave your candle burning for more than 4 consecutive hours. This could result in an abnormally high flame, soot on the container, and buildup on the wick that could fall into the melted wax.
Wick maintenance : Always trim the wick to approximately 1/4" (for cotton wicks) or 1/8" (for wood wicks) before each use.
Discontinuation of use : Stop using the candle when there is approximately 1/2" (1 cm) of wax remaining at the bottom of the container.
In case of high flame : If at any time the flame becomes too high, extinguish the candle, allow the wax to solidify, then trim the wick before relighting.
Cleaning : To remove remaining wax, rinse the container with hot water then clean it with a mild soap.
Warnings : Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep it out of reach of flammable objects, children and pets.
Reuse your containers for a more ecological approach.
